They Both Die at the End - Adam Silvera

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a fantastic YA Romance, nominated for Goodreads Best Young Adult Fiction in 2017, is a heart-warming and intriguing novel exploring the idea of “live life like there’s no tomorrow”. This is a fantastic book with fantastic characters, adventures and heartache all packed between the covers.

Imagine a world where you could wake up any day to a phone call that today was your last day on earth. What would you do? Who would you see? What would you regret? Where would you go? They Both Die at the end follows two teenage boys as they navigate their “Death Day” together. Beginning as strangers but ending as something else entirely. The last day of their lives is fun, exciting, heart-breaking and heart-warming, all at once.

At the time I read this book, I'd been in a real YA fantasy streak. I wasn’t too sure this was the book for me, that I'd be bored with a contemporary setting. Boy was I wrong. The authentic, emotional relationships explored in the novel, let alone the tragic premise of it being the last day of their lives, had me crying, laughing and falling in love with every chapter.
